merchimerchIt is official, the Grateful Dead estate bequeathed their archive to UCSC.
There will be a Grateful Dead display in the new library, and the archive will be housed in the new special collections wing of the McHenry library once it is finished.
Hopefully this will bring more popular music scholarship to the university and to the department.
